You’re in. Let’s set you up.

Three files, one setup, about ten minutes before your first question lands.

  1. 1

    Get your three files.

Your purchase comes with three skill files. Download them from the order confirmation page you just saw — they’re also linked in the receipt email from Polar. Save all three somewhere you’ll find them: career-console-methodology.md, career-console-interview.md, skills-audit.md.

  2. 2

    Set up your workspace.

    • Open your fave LLM.
    • Create a new project called Career Console.
    • Create a new empty folder on your computer called Career Console. Anywhere you’ll remember.
    • Point the LLM project at that folder.
    • Set yourself up to speak, not type. Download Wispr Flow for the best dictation there is, or use your LLM’s built-in voice input (ChatGPT voice mode, Claude’s dictation). You’re about to produce a lot of words. You talk for a living. So talk.
    • Connect your Gmail/email to the project. (The last skill in the toolkit, the audit, reads your email inbox in the last 60 days.)

The first skill opens with this same checklist. If you’ve done it here, you’ll fly through it there.

Don’t have an LLM account yet?+
No problem, it takes two minutes. Go to claude.ai (or chatgpt.com), click Sign up, and create an account with your email address. You don’t need a paid account. This runs perfectly well on a free one, though you may occasionally hit usage limits and have to take a break. Once you’re in, you’ll see a “Projects” section, and that’s where your Career Console will live. Then come back to Step 02.
How do I point my LLM project at a folder?+

It means telling the chat app which folder on your computer (or in your cloud drive) holds your Career Console files, so it can read them without you re-uploading each time.

Claude

  1. Open your Career Console project and find Project knowledge on the right.
  2. Click Add content → Upload files and select the three .md files from your Career Console folder.
  3. Prefer a live folder? Connect Google Drive (Settings → Connectors), put the folder there, and add it from Add content.

ChatGPT

  1. Open your Career Console project and click Add files in the project panel.
  2. Select the three .md files from your Career Console folder.
  3. Or connect Google Drive / OneDrive under Settings → Connectors and point it at the folder.

The folder on your computer is really just your tidy home for the files — what matters is that all three end up in the project.

New to speech-to-computer dictation?+
Wispr Flow is a small app that turns your speech into clean text that can be typed out anywhere on your computer. It’s really handy. Download it at wisprflow.ai, install it, and hold the trigger key to talk instead of type. If you’d rather not install anything, both Claude and ChatGPT DO have a microphone button built in — use that. It’s just that Wispr is slightly more accurate at listening.
How do I connect my email to Claude or ChatGPT?+

Both use a connector (sometimes called an integration or MCP). You authorise it once, inside the chat app — not on this page.

Claude

  1. Open claude.ai and click your name, bottom left → Settings.
  2. Go to Connectors.
  3. Find Gmail (under Google Workspace) and click Connect.
  4. Sign in with the Google account whose inbox you want read, and allow access.
  5. Back in your Career Console project, make sure the Gmail connector is toggled on for that chat (the tools/plug icon in the message box).

ChatGPT

  1. Open chatgpt.com and click your profile icon → Settings.
  2. Go to Connectors (also shown as Apps & connectors).
  3. Find Gmail and click Connect, then sign in with Google and allow access.
  4. In your chat, click the + button and enable Gmail so the model can search your inbox.

Not on Gmail? Outlook works the same way in both apps. And if you’d rather not connect an inbox at all, you can paste or upload a handful of relevant emails when the Audit asks for them.

3

Upload the skills and run them in order.

In your Career Console project, upload the three files. Then run them one at a time, in this order: first the Methodology, then the Interview, then the Skills Audit. Each one tells you exactly what to do next. The Interview writes your personal profile; the Audit turns that profile into your gameplan. Don’t skip ahead — the order is the method.

Stuck on any of this? Email me and I’ll get you running. Free, fifteen minutes, my pleasure.
